Down Lighting

Down lighting is one of the most natural forms of lighting. Most of our light in everyday life is Down lighting; sun, moon, stars and interior or exterior lighting. By placing fixtures in trees and on structures, we can simulate natural down lighting and in many cases create visually pleasing effects by casting shadows on driveways, walkways, and lawn areas. Up and Accent lights with special hardware and hanging lights can achieve this effect.

Safety Lighting

Safety lighting is a primary function of professional outdoor landscape lighting. By providing light to a once-dark, possibly hazardous area, Safety Lighting is a key element in lighting design. This is true not only for exterior lighting but indoor lighting as well. The end result of a professional lighting design should be the elimination of all obstacles given adequate illumination. All fixtures can contribute to this effect.

Path Lighting

Path lighting is a common attractive way to light pathways, gardens and seasonal plant materials to create an even flow of light throughout the landscape. It is best to place fixtures back away from driveways and walkways so that they are close enough to adequately light that area, but yet not so close that they become a hazard. If at all possible do not place path lights in turf areas.

Up Lighting

Up lighting beautiful structures and plants in the front of your home will create nightly curb appeal while also enhancing your security.
