There are two main types of services required for lawn sprinkler systems:

A Spring Start-up involves the annual opening of the system. We check the main valves, turn on the main water, set the timer, change the battery backup, and adjust the sprinkler heads.

A Fall Blow-out — usually sometime between September and November — involves flushing out water with compressed air so the pipes don’t freeze.

No.  In fact, an automatic sprinkler system will conserve water. You will never have to worry about runoff from overwatering or about wasting water if you forget to turn off the hose. Plus, with a rain sensor your system will know when it is raining and simply turn itself off when water is not needed.
